HFR created a master plan, provided construction documents and performed construction administration for Phase I of Volunteer Park at Arrowhead for the City of Hendersonville. The City of Hendersonville officially opened the first phase of the new park and soccer complex in February 2017. Phase I consisted of two regulation-sized soccer fields. The park will eventually include a soccer complex with three regulation fields, a lacrosse field, parking, a restroom/concession building, and connectivity.
HFR worked with Parks Director Brandon Rogers to develop the design for Arrowhead Park to alleviate current traffic congestion and overcrowding at Drakes Creek Park, as well as meet the demands of the growing city. “The growth is there. All of our youth sports have grown beyond our expectations in the past two years,” said Rogers in an article appearing in recently in The Tennessean.
Phase II is currently underway and will include a restroom, concession building, trail and pedestrian bridge.
