HFR created a master plan for the new Volunteer Park at Arrowhead in 2016, and was engaged by the City to produce Construction Documents and perform Construction Administration for Phase I of this project, which was completed in the Fall of 2016. The City of Hendersonville officially opened the first phase of the new park and soccer complex in February 2017. Phase I consisted of two regulation-sized soccer fields. The park will eventually include a soccer complex with three regulation fields, a lacrosse field, parking, a restroom/concession building, and connectivity.
HFR worked with Parks Director Brandon Rogers to develop the design for Arrowhead Park to alleviate current traffic congestion and overcrowding at Drakes Creek Park, as well as meet the demands of the growing city. “The growth is there. All of our youth sports have grown beyond our expectations in the past two years,” said Rogers in an article appearing in recently in The Tennessean.
Phase II is currently underway, and will include a restroom, concession building, trail and pedestrian bridge.
