Location: Hendersonville, TN

On February 23, the City of Hendersonville officially opened the first phase of a new park and soccer complex called Volunteer Park at Arrowhead. The park will eventually include a soccer complex with three regulation fields, a lacrosse field, parking, a restroom/concession building, and connectivity. Phase one consists of two regulation-sized soccer fields. HFR Design worked with Parks Director Brandon Rogers to develop the design for Arrowhead Park to alleviate current traffic congestion and overcrowding at Drakes Creek Park, as well as meet the demands of the growing city. “The growth is there. All of our youth sports have grown beyond our expectations in the past two years,” said Rogers in an article appearing in recently in The Tennessean.
HFR Design created a master plan for the new park in 2016, and was engaged by the City to produce Construction Documents and perform Construction Administration for Phase One of this project, which was completed in the Fall of 2016. Phase Two is currently underway, and will include a restroom / concession building, trail, and pedestrian bridge.
