PROJECTS:

State Route 109 from south of SR 76 to SR 52

HFR was responsible for design documents for 2.1 miles of a 5- lane curb and gutter section as it runs along the original alignment of SR 109 from south of SR 76 to SR 52 in Portland, TN. The project is currently under construction. Surveys and preliminary plans were developed and right-of-way plans were submitted in 2002. The project was let for construction in 2008.
 

State Route 109 from South of Hollis Chapel Road to South of SR 76

HFR was responsible for field surveys, preliminary right-of-way and construction plans for a 4-lane divided median section. This segment of the total project consisted of 4.3 miles of a four-lane divided highway over a new alignment. The highway transitions to a 5-lane curb and gutter section just south of SR 76. Surveys and preliminary plans were preformed and right-of-way plans were issued in 2004. Permit drawings were submitted to TDOT in March of 2009. Grading and paving plans were let for construction in September 2009.

 

State Route 109 from Gallatin Bypass to South of Hollis Chapel Road

HFR was responsible for field surveys, preliminary right-of-way and construction plans for a 4-lane divided median section. The project is the southern section of the SR 109 improvements from the SR 109 Bypass in Gallatin to SR 52 in Portland, Tennessee. Total project length was 5.2 miles. The project involved deep cuts and fills. Right-of-way plans were issued in 2003, grading plans were let in 2005. Paving plans were submitted and let for construction in May of 2009.
