The American Council of Engineering Companies of Tennessee held a gala awards event on the evening of March 6 at the Hilton Nashville Downtown. With more than 300 in attendance, HFR was twice honored from the 29 entries in 9 categories. The panel of 7 independent judges selected the “NASA Michoud Assembly Facility Hurricane Repairs” project for a Merit Award in the category of Studies, Research and Consulting. For the “Naked Eye Observatory at MTSU” project, HFR was presented the Honor Award as the best  Special Project for the past year in the entire state of Tennessee. ACEC of TN sponsors the annual Engineering Excellence Awards competition to turn the spotlight on the important contributions that Tennessee engineering firms make to the health, safety and quality of life of the people in Tennessee, the nation and throughout the world.
