HFR Design’s policy is to be practitioners of sustainable design, as well as leaders in the promotion and advancement of the movement. To do this, we regularly take advantage of continuing education and training in sustainable design, staying abreast of the latest trends and evidence-based corrections in methodology.

At HFR Design, many of our professionals are LEED accredited, and we’re proud of that fact. Yet, we see sustainability as much more than LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) or “green.”  We believe that sustainability is the responsible stewardship of our natural and cultural resources and environment to ensure current and future generations will not be faced with shortages, contamination and diminished quality of life. Our policy is to be at the forefront of the wise application of sustainable design and practices.  Sustainability is more than a fad, it is a responsibility mandated by both logic and ethics.
