Valley View Hospital

• Onsite replacement hospital in Glenwood Springs, CO.
• Designed by HFR in accordance with the patient-oriented Planetree concept, which stresses the importance of interior design in the healing process, the interior is inviting, nurturing and non-institutional.
• Native stone and wood combine with colors common to the area in creating an interior environment that reflects the hospital’s exterior and its setting.
• Ceiling lighting in the Grand Lobby simulates stars in the night sky; the lighted ceiling scene in the CT scan room creates a pleasant and comforting view for the patient lying on his back.
