PROJECT:

Fusion Fitness Aquatics Wellness Center

• A 32,000-square-foot wellness center attached to Hillsboro Area Health Services, a community hospital in Hillsboro, IL.
• The first floor houses a 9,000-square-foot natatorium for both recreation and competition, with four-lane competition pool, zero-entry beach with play feature and “lazy river” with vortex; also on the first floor are a cardio-weight room, half gym and outpatient physical therapy facility.
• The second floor features an elevated track and space for future expansion.
• The design incorporates the owner’s number one priority: that the wellness facility “must excite, welcome and facilitate patrons of all ages.”
