Veterans Administration Medical Center

• Master planning and design of a 20,000-square-foot clinical lab for VA Medical Center, Nashville, TN.
• Fixed casework and permanent walls were replaced by modular casework and open labs to accommodate changes in workflow and new equipment.
• Flexibility and easy reconfiguration mean conditions adapt to the changing needs of personnel, rather than personnel adapting to conditions.
• Construction was accomplished in four phases to allow this busy, working lab to remain operational during construction.
