Infectious Diseases Research Labs

• Programming, design and construction administration of 24,000 square feet of lab and support space at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
• To attract a nationally recognized director of infectious diseases, VUMC determined that major renovations to an existing building would be required.
• HFR architects visited the director’s former labs in Boston to help guide the design of new open labs and support spaces for his program at Vanderbilt.
• Oversized BSL-III labs, cell-sorting areas and tissue cultures are strategically integrated throughout the facility.
