PROJECT:

Smyrna Public Library

• A 23,400-square-foot library in Smyrna, TN, designed by HFR and constructed $100,000 under budget.
• The brick and cast stone facility was centrally placed in an existing park on the fringe of an established residential neighborhood.
• Special attention was given to complementing the local residential vernacular and accentuating the existing park with trails, waterscapes and landscaping.
• A “team building” concept was employed, utilizing the services of the Rutherford County Public Building Authority.
