MTSU Observatory Plaza

• This unique plaza at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, TN, is an outdoor classroom for astronomy students.
• Design allows anyone to find and measure objects in the sky and learn more about the solar system; phase two includes a new observatory building with telescope and operable dome.
• Power and wireless computer connections allow students to access the Internet or campus intranet during their studies.
• Recipient of 2006 American Council of Engineering Companies Honor Award as best Special Project in Tennessee.
