Capshaw Elementary School

• An 88,000-square-foot, $7 million elementary school in Cookeville, TN.
• Designed to accommodate 600 students, grades K-4, the facility replaced one that had occupied the site since 1930.
• A major goal was achieved by increasing the size of the school without overpowering the surrounding residential neighborhood.
• Classrooms were organized on two levels, the wooden structure was removed and adequate on-site pick-up and drop-off points were added.
