PROJECT:

The Tennessean

• Additions and renovations of 195,000 square feet, totaling $23.5 million, to facilities of The Tennessean, a Gannett Co. newspaper in Nashville, with no interruption in production.
• Two new five-story press halls with state-of-the-art printing press lines replaced 1940s press; cramped mailroom replaced by automated mailroom connected to new distribution dock.
• Prepress facilities reconfigured, administration areas updated, new three-story atrium/dining facility with updated cafeteria added.
• In later phase, a new press line for the production of the USA Today was installed, additional mailroom space was brought on-line and roll paper storage space was added.
