HFR had the privilege to help sponsor the Franklin Special School District’s middle school students in a national TECHFIT competition at Purdue University back in December.
TECHFIT stands for Teaching Engineering Concepts to Harness Future Innovators and Technologists. For the competition, the teams had to design and implement technology-based fitness games to promote mobility while having fun and improving their health.
The Freedom Middle School team won first place with their Through the Decades routine. To honor the students and their hard work, the School District hosted a community outreach event where the students received their trophy and preformed their award winning program. We are so glad that we could help support these talented students and even more grateful that we were able to attend the event and see them perform. It was very eye opening and inspiring to see these young students and their passion for technology, fitness, learning and of course, FUN!
